We are seeking a Project Engineer to oversee various engineering initiatives, both for new developments and enhancements to existing products and processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and direction to engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, from conception to certification or qualification, and transition to manufacturing.
- Leading complex technical projects, ensuring effective planning, organization, and execution.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly Program Management, to ensure alignment on budget, schedule, and milestones.
- Coordinating engineering activities and projects, including operations support, design changes, and production assistance.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration between departments to optimize project outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing technical aspects of product and process design.
- Collaborating with department managers to assemble project teams based on individual skills.
- Providing guidance and support to engineering teams.
- Developing project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Integrating Design to Manufacturing and Design to Cost principles early in the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
- Managing Verification and Validation activities.
- Representing the company in technical discussions with customers.
- Reviewing project documentation for accuracy.
- Driving projects to timely completion to meet strategic goals.
- Leading formal design reviews and technical meetings.
- Assisting with certification and qualification efforts.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or Medical Device industries.
- Minimum of 5 years of project leadership experience
Salary Range: $100k-$150k
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
