Job Purpose
Talent Management Specialists help LP attract, develop, and retain the best employees. They provide comprehensive support in the design, implementation, and administration of corporate and business unit talent management programs to attract candidates, promote learning, build a pool of quality talent, improve engagement, and measure the success of HR programs.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with HR Business Partners and Regional HR Managers to successfully develop and deliver programs aligned with the business needs and the overall Talent Management Strategy.
- Develop measures and processes for assessing the quality and effectiveness of talent management programs (e.g., knowledge transfer of training programs has occurred, skills development, changing of behaviors, etc.).
- Coordinate and support the development of employee engagement initiatives and strategies, including evaluating survey results and assisting in the management of action plan progress.
- Coordinate the annual talent review process, including talent assessments, succession planning, and development plan execution, and facilitate organizational improvement and feedback for such processes.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with internal and external job postings using job boards, social networking sites, etc.
- Represent LP at recruiting events, including career fairs, campus recruiting, instructional/mock interviews, community events, and banquets.
- Source candidates by utilizing all available recruiting tools, initiatives, and processes to proactively source candidates and leverage personal networking and employee candidate referrals inclusive of candidate identification, interviewing, and final selection recommendations.
- Develop and execute staffing strategies to suit the needs of the Company, including temporary, contract, full-time, part-time, intern, exempt, and non-exempt hiring.
- Maintain adequate supplies of recruiting collateral and promotional materials and assist with the review and acquisition of same to remain current with talent acquisition trends and Company initiatives.
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs and initiatives to ensure new employees have a seamless transition into the Company.
- Participate in the design and development of basic eLearning training, job aids, and system tools, as needed.
- Assist the L&D team with planning, scheduling, executing, evaluating, and improving training programs.
- Partner with the HRIS team, HR Business Partners, and Regional HR Managers on the development of talent management tools for end users, provide key metrics reporting and dashboards necessary and administer talent management systems to monitor the health and effectiveness of talent management and talent acquisition processes.
- Management, coordination, and support (campus relations, onboarding, program development, evaluation, reporting, and measurement) of LP’s Summer Intern Program.
- Provide guidance in and facilitate LP’s Mentorship Program.
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience in talent management, including recruiting, performance management, employee development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
