About the role

Our goal is to reinvent home shopping through highly personalized, seamless experiences through product led communications that are augmented with outstanding, rich content and insights.

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll define our product strategy for messaging channels (email, mobile push). You'll collaborate with engineering, design, data science, applied science, research, and marketing teams to achieve our goal of helping customers find their dream homes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define "big problem" spaces and opportunities for buyers and renters and create the notifications product strategy and roadmap for the Zillow home shopping experience.

  • Deliver impact and results by defining success metrics, analyzing data for insights, prioritizing what to build, and coordinating with partner teams to align efforts to business strategies

  • Facilitate decision-making across cross-functional teams to deliver products that drive ambitious customer and business growth.

  • Mobilize your teams to do their best work by providing clear direction, handling dependencies, removing blockers and applying effective operating rhythms

  • Deliver insightful product recommendations to business leaders and the executive team in a persuasive and thoughtful manner.

  • Implement outstanding product management processes to increase team velocity, quality, and accountability.

  • Inform strategy by monitoring competitors, the latest trends, understanding customer needs and technical designs of products to serve them

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $170,200.00 - $271,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with proven ability to lead and test products at scale and launch experiences for millions of customers.

  • Ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy that inspires and motivates the team, aligning their efforts towards achieving business goals.

  • Expertise in email and push deliverability and technical aspects of email marketing platforms, push notification services and related tools.

  • Strong skills in experimentation, including hypothesis generation, A/B testing, and analysis of results.

  • Proven track record to establish relationships and collaborate effectively with partners at all levels of the organization, from C-level executives to individual contributors.

  • Solid skills in leading and influencing through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.

  • Possess a proactive, positive, can-do attitude, approaching challenges with enthusiasm and a solutions-oriented approach.
