Perficient is looking for an Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Planning and Budgeting Lead Business Consultant, emphasizing Financial Planning, Workforce Planning, Capital Planning, or Profitability and Costing, to join our Oracle EPM Business Unit.

 

Job Overview:

The Oracle EPM Lead Business Consultant is responsible for contributing to our clients' design, development, and delivery of Oracle EPM solutions.  The Lead Business Consultant must be able to lead assigned areas of the implementation of Oracle EPM for Perficient clients. 

As a Planning and Budgeting Lead Business Consultant, you will be working as part of a project team that includes a Perficient Project Manager, Solution Architect, Business Consultants as well as client personnel, including C-level executives. This position is ideally suited for functional consultants who possess a deep understanding of corporate accounting concepts including financial consolidations, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, allocations, and financial reporting.

As a Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

  • Key developer for Planning solutions based on defined client requirements and design
  • Ability to understand requirements and design documents and translate and execute that into technical implementations
  • Support project by working with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to support design, development, testing, and release features
  • Development of Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new solution
  • Work closely with Project Manager, Solution Architect and Business Consultants to deliver on project tasks in accordance with project timelines and expectations
  • Support engagement with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with Oracle EPM Cloud solutions with expertise in Financial Planning, Workforce Planning, Capital Planning, or Profitability and Costing
    • Oracle PBCS / EPBCS with pre-built modules (Financials, Workforce, Capital Planning, Profitability and Costing, etc.)
    • Oracle Financial Reporting 
    • Oracle SmartView 
  • At least 4+ full life cycle implementations that cover every project implementation - Requirements, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy or similar experience on the legacy, on-premises  Hyperion product set.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA or MBA is a plus 
  • Knowledge of GAAP, and IFRS accounting standards is a plus 
  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud (EDMCS) or Profitability and Costing is a plus
  • Experience in the financial budgeting and forecasting  processes, including allocations and driver-based calculations 
  • Ability to create financial statements and management reports for public and private companies using Oracle EPM Narrative Reporting and/or Financial Reporting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability and desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data reconciliations 
  • Client-facing or consulting experience is highly preferred.
