Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Physician - Boca Raton, FL
Student Health Services at Florida Atlantic University invites applicants for a temporary part-time Physician. Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Student Health Services is located in beautiful Boca Raton with additional smaller campuses in Jupiter and Davie. FAU is an exciting and dynamic school that is rapidly growing. At FAU SHS, we seek to provide high quality, culturally competent care in a manner that is respectful, fiscally responsible, and developmentally appropriate. We combine a wide range of medical, counseling, preventative, and wellness services to help students remain healthy and succeed academically.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Obtains appropriate medical history and performs accurate physical examination.
Provides acute medical care, primary care, and chronic disease management.
Experience with basic primary care procedures such as laceration repairs and pap smears.
Orders and correctly interprets appropriate diagnostic studies to assist with management.
Develops an appropriate assessment and treatment plan consistent with findings and utilizes medication and other treatment modalities appropriately.
Provides education and information on the diagnosis and treatment plan including appropriate preventive and health enhancement strategies and actions.
Refers for additional consultation, evaluation, and treatment when clinically indicated.
Practices within the scope of privileges and licensure.
Uses evidence-based strategies to guide diagnosis and treatment.
Adheres to policies and established workflows for delivery of patient care.
Requires provider to be willing to travel to satellite campuses (Jupiter) as well as Main Campus, Boca Raton.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited medical school of medicine or school of osteopathy with an MD or DO License to practice in state of Florida by date of hire. Must be Board certified in internal medicine, medicine-pediatrics, or family practice. Must be DEA registered and have current BLS certification.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using electronic health records.
Demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent care for diverse population.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Highly effective problem solving and decisions making skills.
Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care preferred.
Experience working with diverse college populations.
Salary:
