The Site Engineering Specialist will report through the site’s Technical Services department. This position will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data from all site mechanical systems and processing equipment, and developing & driving opportunities to efficiently operate and maintain those systems while working collaboratively with the site engineering and maintenance teams. This person will also work collaboratively with the site teams & contractors to fix systems and equipment issues, and develop CAPA (Corrective Action / Preventative Action) plans as needed for all mechanical and processing equipment relating to site sustainability requirements to maintain optimal efficiency.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
-Review data of all site mechanical systems and processing equipment. Find opportunities to maintain or improve equipment performance relating to energy & water usage.
-Solve & repair processing equipment, green energy systems (geothermal, solar panels), or mechanical systems as required to achieve optimal usage, working collaboratively with the site’s maintenance and engineering teams, and contractors
-Assess, manage, and procure business-critical, spare parts inventory for mechanical & processing equipment. Perform ongoing assessment of processing equipment/systems to identify obsolete equipment and systems.
-Develop & implement capital project plans that support Colgate Sustainability initiatives, improve PNC energy efficiency, and minimize system downtime.
-Support ongoing sustainability project implementation by providing engineering design review/feedback, developing system maintenance plans, and supporting mechanical startup/commissioning activities for Geothermal and high-efficiency HVAC equipment/systems. Work with PNC Site and MEP engineers to perform ongoing system assessments to ensure ongoing system efficiency/performance
Education/ Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED
-
5+ years experience maintaining, fixing, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment

3+ years experience using JCI Metasys Building Automation System (BAS) software
-
3+ years proven experience maintaining, and fixing industrial equipment, chillers, boilers, and water systems

Proficient in google suite (gmail, sheets, etc.)

Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed
Preferred qualifications include:

B.S. in engineering discipline or certification through a relevant Vo-tech certified technical program
EPA refrigerant certification -
Electrically Qualified on 480V electrical distribution systems

2+ years experience with green energy system (Geothermal, Solar) maintenance and troubleshooting

2+ years experience participating on sustainability / energy audit teams
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $58,000 - $79,500 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
