We have an exciting opportunity on our Enterprise Data team for an experienced ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Enterprise Data Steward! In this pivotal role, you will support our corporate sustainability strategy by leading the Data Operations team in the ownership, collection, and maintenance of ESG product data. This position requires an understanding of the usage of ESG product data and ESG methodologies. This role will have deep engagement with the corporate Sustainability, Governance, Technology, and Reporting teams and offers an opportunity to drive process and ownership for ESG product data.
This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent the Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance team in collaborations with ESG, Category Management, Merchandising, and Sales teams
- Drive process improvements and service ownership for ESG product data
- Ensure data integrity and maintain processes to support data quality
- Research, validate, and standardize data to support customer needs and company growth objectives
- Identify and resolve data quality issues through error detectio0n and correction, process control and improvement, and process design strategies
- Communicate internally and with third parties to provide feedback & recommend business process changes
- Apply critical thinking in reviewing vendor/third-party provided data in various formats for accuracy
- Understand internal and external customer data needs and expectations for information
- Ensure data collected supports the needs of business partners
- Perform recurring and ad hoc audits to ensure enrichment of key data gaps and to support online presentation
- Support channel-specific business needs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent work experience required
- Proficient understanding of ESG concepts and methodologies
- Minimum of 2 years experience in ESG data management
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with/manipulating data required
- Solid understanding of and experience working in an MDM and/or PIM system
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL required
- Strong skillset in analyzing, profiling, and mining data
- Demonstrated ability to complete established goals with limited mentorship
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong engagement and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to drive data quality improvements and maintain high standards of data integrity
- Exhibits awareness of data governance/management concepts
