Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. This internship will take place at our Bloomington, MN location over a 10–12 week period during summer 2025.
Responsibilities:
Leads or assists with improving data collection and user interface with collected data to optimize and streamline data analysis capabilities.
Collaborates with IT and establishes a relational database for test data that is easily accessible for data analysis.
Resolves problems and discusses solutions with all appropriate personnel.
Works with lab technicians to understand filtration tests and data collection methods.
Maintains document and code version control and improves version control methods as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Experience with databases, data collection, and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of people in multiple functions
Experience with C++, Python, and/or JSL
Experience with JMP
Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Energetic self-starter who seeks innovative solutions
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities
