JOB TITLE:
Prep Cook I - Residential Dining Center
JOB PURPOSE:
Support the cooking staff by prepping food items for recipes that are made and served for the student board meal plan.
This position has been deemed essential as addressed in the University of Wyoming’s Employee Handbook. Employees in essential positions may be required to work during emergency closures and winter closure based on the nature of their job duties and the reasons for the closure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare food items by cleaning and using proper prep techniques of bulk products for use in all recipes.
- Follow and make recipes to prep food items.
- Use sanitation and safety procedures properly and efficiently in all areas of the prep kitchen.
- Daily cleaning of the prep kitchen area, equipment, and utensils.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Experience: No prior experience required; training provided
