The Path to Project Leader Program provides the opportunity for highly talented, motivated, and quick progressing candidates to join the clinical research industry in a Senior Project Specialist role to acquire deep clinical research and project management knowledge and progress to an Associate Project Leader role within eight months.

How we help you grow

Starting in a Senior Project Specialist role, you’ll work along-side the Project Leader and Functional Leads to dive into client projects. You’ll gain knowledge in Project Management, Financial Management, and critical systems used to manage clinical trials, team coordination, and other relevant areas. This program will also provide you with trainings and workshops to gain insight into different functional areas and in the soft skills required for the Project Leader role and for working with clients. Every step of the way, you’ll receive mentoring from an experienced Project Leader.

During this experience, you'll have the opportunity to: Practically apply in-class concepts with day-to-day application by working with clinical systems including Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Electronic Data Capture, Safety Information Systems, and TMF platforms Develop your communication, decision-making and other relevant skills and benefit from both trainings and ongoing coaching and support of your Line Manager and Project Leader After approximately twelve months, you’ll complete the program and be eligible to progress to an Associate Project Leader and begin a successful Project Leadership career path! 

What you need to get started:

  • Recent Master´s degree in Clinical Research or Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Submitting a cover letter to explain your intent and motivation for applying for this program.
  • High potential with the desire to develop quickly and the aptitude to learn quickly
  • High motivation to invest energy in progressing
  • Ability to receive feedback and turn lessons learned into opportunities for improvement
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a self-driven capacity with a sense of urgency, with limited oversight and demonstrated flexibility
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A Client-focused approach and focus on quality
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, evaluate unpredictable scenarios and achieve project timelines while applying your understanding of study protocol(s)
  • An honest and ethical work approach to promote the development of life changing treatments for patients
  • Strong computer skills

Travel expectations: The Sr PS role is largely home or office-based, depending on your location, but could require travel to a Client Kick-off Meeting, Principal Investigator Meeting, Client-facing Meeting and Audits, less than 5% travel. The aPL role is largely home-based but could also require travel to a Client Kick-off Meeting, Principal Investigator Meeting, Client-facing Meeting and Audits.
