About the role

Job Title:  People Operations & Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: Onsite - Shelbyville, TN Report to: Director of People Operations/ Global Manufacturing Talent Acquisition Manager Overview of Role: The People Operations and Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a dual role in supporting the success of our manufacturing facility by driving efficient HR operations and leading full-cycle recruitment efforts. This position ensures a positive employee experience across the employment lifecycle and partners closely with department leads to attract, hire, and retain top talent. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about building strong teams and fostering a positive workplace culture.

What you will do:

People Operations 

  • Support day-to-day HR operations including employee onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS data management.
  • Partner with leadership on employee relations matters, promoting a positive and compliant workplace culture.
  • Assist with performance management, development planning, and training coordination.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, assist with audits, and support compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.

 

Talent Acquisition 

 

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly, technical, and salaried roles, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, interview processes, and recruitment strategies.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, social media, career fairs, and employee referrals.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with department leads for follow-up interviews.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.

 

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or people operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resources information systems (HRIS).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
