About the School of Information Technology
The School of Information Technology is a national leader in studying solutions and needs that connect people, information, and the technology of the time. The SoIT is home to Ohio's first Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Information Technology. In addition, it is home to Ohio's first ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. The SoIT has been growing at 20% annually and currently serves more than 2300 students with 31 full-time faculty members, 28 full-time staff, and 43 adjunct faculty. The SoIT is home to several centers including an NSA/DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, the Information Technology Solutions Center, the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, Applied Machine Learning and Intelligence Center, and the Smart Synergies Lab.

About the Ohio Cyber Range Institute
The Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI), housed at the University of Cincinnati, is a partnership among state agencies and academic institutions that is led by UC, the Ohio Adjutant General and the Ohio Department. OCRI’s mission is to advance cybersecurity education, workforce, and economic development. OCRI administers the Ohio Cyber Range as a state-wide tool that supports programming for K-20 courses and events; full-spectrum training opportunities, including incident response teams; industry workforce and economic development; cyber security research; as well as government agency support among other programs.
Job Overview
The School of Information Technology seeks to hire an Assistant Director for the Ohio Cyber Range. We are looking for a mission driven, team oriented, highly ambitious individual who wants to serve, make a difference, and strives to perform at competitive levels of excellence. This is a grant-funded position; the continuation of this position will be based on the availability of funds and the continuation of the grant.
Under general supervision from the Associate Director for the Ohio Cyber Range, the Assistant Director for the OCR will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the OCRI partner success strategy and managing the strategic goals of the Ohio Cyber Range cloud resources.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the development of OCRI partner success strategy.
- Assist in the design and implementation of OCR resources and programs to achieve OCRI partner goals.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and architecture of the OCR cloud lifecycle to meet the needs of OCRI partners.
- In coordination with university IT and in compliance with university policies, implement processes to ensure the purchase, installation, operation, and security of OCR cloud resources to meet the needs of OCRI partners.
- Develop and implement processes to collect and report on partner feedback and develop reporting standards.
- Liaison with OCRI partners such as university offices and vendors to ensure OCR success.
- Work closely with university IT to ensure any hardware, software, and application development are in alignment with university policies and procedures governing all data and technology.
- Manage the resource allocations and prepare required reports in support of the budget process.
