Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff within the hospital. This role aims to enhance clinical skills, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Design and develop educational programs and curricula tailored to the needs of nursing staff, covering clinical procedures, patient care protocols, technological advancements, and regulatory compliance. <br>-Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training to enhance nursing staff knowledge, skills, and competencies, utilizing various teaching methodologies and resources. <br>
-Facilitate orientation programs for new nursing hires, introducing them to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. <br>
-Organize and promote continuing education opportunities for nursing staff, encouraging ongoing professional development, and facilitating access to relevant training resources. <br>
-Evaluate and assess the clinical skills and competencies of nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and creating individual development plans where needed. <br>
-Ensure nursing staff compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices through education, training, and audits. <br>
-Work collaboratively with nursing leadership, department heads, and other healthcare professionals to align educational initiatives with organizational goals and quality improvement efforts. <br>
-Maintain accurate records of educational programs, attendance, evaluations, and staff competencies, providing reports as required by regulatory bodies and hospital administration. <br>

Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing required and Master's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 3-5 years required and Nurse or health training or educator experience 2-3 years preferred. Experience in Med-Surg, Critical Care, Procedural, ED, and/or Mother/Baby.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate others, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Familiarity with healthcare technologies and learning management systems is often preferred.
- Capacity to adapt to changing healthcare practices and regulations.
