Sr. Data Scientist

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
We are seeking a skilled, proactive and motivated Sr. Data Scientist with good hands-on experience in data wrangling, transformations, building data-driven insights and statistical models. As part of the Plasma Derived Therapies Data, Digital & Technology (PDT DD&T) team, you will leverage advanced analytics to deliver data-driven solutions and insights that drive impactful business outcomes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Marketing, and Forecasting, you will analyze data sets, build predictive models, deploy and operationalize solutions to enhance organizational performance. You will be working closely with fellow data scientists on the team, as well as other team members from the Enterprise Data Science Community of Practice to advance best practices and knowledge sharing.
You will report directly to the Data Science Lead, who will provide strategic direction.
How you will contribute:
- Support the Data Science Lead and team members in solving problems, analyzing data and developing advanced analytics solutions.
- Translate business processes and requirements into solutions. Understand the analytics drivers and data to be modelled and apply the appropriate quantitative techniques to solve problems.
- Design, develop, deploy and operationalize advanced statistics, data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI/ML) solutions supporting business operations.
- Evaluate the data, analytics models and experiments periodically to validate hypothesis, ensuring it continues to provide business value as requirements and objectives evolve.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies and operations
- Ensure smooth, successful and timely delivery of statistical/data science solutions and AI/ML products.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design, develop, and operationalize decision support solutions using advanced statistical methods, data science/ML, and other quantitative techniques (e.g. simulation, math modeling, etc.) solving complex business problems.
- Provide the thought leadership in the design of experiments (including A/B Testing) and assist business in executing analytics solutions and strategies as well as performance metrics.
- Understand data and sources of data. Strategize with the IT development team and develop a process to collect, ingest, and deliver data along with proper data models for analytical needs.
- Interacts with business users to define pain points, problem statement, scope, and analytics business case. Develop solutions with recommended data model and data science techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business operations and decision process.
- Support business solutions and implementation by providing required analytical insights that help shape the solutions design and improve customer experience.
- Develop analytics solutions following the lifecycle of statistical and AI/ML processes ensuring successful and timely delivery of high quality solutions.
- Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Assist in defining requirements and facilitate workshops and prototyping sessions.
