Position Summary:

Opens damaged cases, checks for damaged bags, and repacks into new cases.  Provides backup for the mixing deck, sanitation and inspection positions.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Discards foreign material and notifies supervisor as required.

2.

• Inspects product passing over shakers for quality. 

3.

Maintains foreign material log book.

4.

Measures and adds proper ingredients as directed, changes cutters as needed, greases and maintains equipment.

4.

Opens damaged cases and repacks undamaged bags.

6.

Performs general operational, daily and downtime sanitation as required.

7.

Prepares cases for packaging machines as needed.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Minimum 3 months related experience and/or training
• Ability to complete certification through the Operator Training Program
• Have or be capable of obtaining McCain Forklift Certification

 

Physical Demand:

Constant: Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. 

 

Frequently:  Walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.    

 

 

Occasionally: Sit; climb or balance; stoop, talk or hear and taste or smell.
