Manager, Pricing Strategy – Denver, CO or New York, NY
Western Union is on a mission to modernize its commercial capabilities from the strategy to the tools & technology we use to make decisions. In support of this mission, the Pricing team is looking for a versatile, analytical leader to enable the transformation of our $3+ Billion Retail Business. This person will be a member of the Global Commercialization team and report directly to our Global Commercialization Director.
The team has three clear mandates: Strategy & Growth, Capabilities & Enablement, and Operational Excellence. This role will be a key enabler across all three with clear ownership and accountability for the data analytics and pricing strategies. The role will be the data powerhouse of the Commercialization team, ensuring we can create flexible and repeatable pricing tools and generate insights from both clean and messy data, and you will be a thought partner, helping Pricing Leadership and other business leaders turn your analysis into impactful initiatives.
The Global team partners closely with our Local teams to integrate all aspects of our commercial decisions and deliver tangible results for the business. A successful person in this role will have a strong analytical background, comfort with data analysis, and experience in a B2B environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Data analysis: design, execute and automate processes to run and optimize the regional business. You will autonomously build your own analyses and dashboards then use them to recommend insights.
- Strategic Projects: assist in the framing, coordination and management of strategic pricing projects. This may extend from managing project KPIs to creating and implementing strategic frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management: be comfortable presenting your ideas to senior leaders and creating buy-in for your recommendations.
- Revenue Management: Model impacts from pricing on latest forecasts across a full P&L & provide insightful analysis which will be presented to senior leadership so as they can make informed decisions.
Role Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate across a full organization in a highly dynamic nature.
- Ability to lead people and build teams.
- Advanced knowledge of analytics and the use of analytics to solve business problems.
- High comfort level and experience with SQL and PowerBI.
- Previous experience in the global remittance space is preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative function (e.g. Business, Economics, or Math). An MBA is highly preferred.

Salary
The annual gross base salary range is $93,750.00 - 156,250.00 USD per year. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
