Overview: Reporting to the DC Asset Protection Manager, the DC Assistant Manager, Asset Protection supports the manager of the SNIPES Distribution Center in promoting and executing shrink reduction programs, including inventory protection, investigations, and physical security initiatives. Will assist in training employees on Asset Protection procedures and the identification of common shrink indicators while ensuring compliance with Asset Protection policies and operational procedures designed to mitigate shrink exposure. Also, they will assist in identifying, investigating, and resolving internal theft incidents while ensuring required inventory audits are documented and completed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Asset Protection policies and procedures are implemented and monitored by warehouse management teams at the Distribution Center
- Assist in ensuring physical security, Asset Protection awareness, OSHA regulations, and fire safety standards are maintained within company guidelines and industry best practices
- Train employees on Asset Protection and physical security procedures through team member workshops and awareness initiatives
- Support Distribution Center management by maintaining and updating the DC Alarm Call List and coordinating alarm code distribution when required
- Assist in identifying and resolving internal theft investigations across warehouse locations
- Partner with law enforcement agencies by supporting investigations, including video review and evidence preparation
- Supervise and guide Asset Protection Specialists during assigned shifts as they perform duties including physical security audits, employee bag and coat checks, locker inspections, and routine perimeter patrols of the property and loading areas
- Conduct daily bag and coat inspections for employees, vendors, and visitors entering or exiting the facility
- Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of the facility, including pilferage inspections and end-of-day trailer inspections
- Evaluate physical security measures and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical areas
- Perform daily perpetual inventory counts of high-value merchandise
- Conduct daily trailer seal inspections in partnership with the logistics team
- Test all Asset Protection equipment daily to confirm proper functionality and partner with the APM to address deficiencies
- Monitor CCTV systems with a focus on high-risk operational areas within the Distribution Center
- Provide escort services for visitors and vendors to maintain safety and compliance
- Assist with warehouse access control management, including badge creation and deactivation
- Utilize CCTV to monitor workflow and ensure employees are operating in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Assist in managing shrink awareness programs, access control systems, alarm management, merchandise security programs, transportation security, and seal control procedures
Schedule: This role requires 4 days onsite at the SNIPES Philadelphia Distribution Center, 10-hour shifts per day scheduled. Scheduling flexibility, as coverage may include day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts depending on operational needs
