The Statler Hotel, located on Cornell University's campus, is renowned as "the premier hotel that teaches." It serves as the practical hotel operations laboratory for the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, providing students with hands-on experience in hospitality management. The hotel combines modern elegance with the vibrant energy of campus life, offering guests a unique and immersive stay. With over 150 rooms and state-of-the-art conference facilities, it hosts numerous important events and meetings. The Statler Hotel is committed to excellence in service and hospitality education, making it a cornerstone of Cornell's hospitality program.
The Statler Hotel is now accepting applications for Culinary Cooks positions for the summer. The Statler Hotel Culinary department is an incredible kitchen learning environment to hone your current culinary skill set or to learn the basics of food preparation and production. Our chefs have technical chops and creativity, coupled with an inspiring coaching style of teaching and training. The Statler Hotel culinary kitchen includes two facets: one is the banquet side that focuses on food prep and execution of meetings and events, the other is the Taverna Banfi side that focuses on food prep and execution of Taverna Banfi restaurant orders.

Duties and responsibilities
Perform food preparation.
Participate in the execution of banquets.
Clean up work station.
Practice good food safety and sanitation.
Individuals with previous back-of-house restaurant experience will be considered for line-cook positions in Taverna Banfi restaurant
Knowledge/Experience required
No experience necessary.
Desire to learn and master the fundamentals of the job.
Individuals with pervious back-of-house restaurant experience will be considered for line-cooks in Taverna Banfi restaurant
