First Shift (United States of America)

Leadership
o    Within the framework of the organization’s mission, vision, and      strategic plan, accountable for the strategic direction of adult/pediatric acute care and specialty services. 
o    Develop business plans to achieve growth, quality, and financial targets.
o    Manage services to ensure effective and efficient operations.
o    Develop and implement patient care service goals and objectives ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and governmental regulations.
o    Provide effective leadership to achieve patient, clinical, financial, quality, and service outcomes.
o    Responsible for positive physician relationships.
o    Responsible for staff development and retention.
o    Develop, design, direct and coordinate support systems for professional nursing practice, in order to further develop and enhance the art, science, and profession of nursing.
o    Support the CNO through ongoing evaluation of the practice environment of nursing, identifying opportunities for improvement across nursing care areas.
o    Provide leadership and support for new technologies that enhance patient care delivery.
o    Support and coordinate new care delivery models across health system
o    As a member of the executive nursing leadership team, this person shares the responsibility of ensuring that the collective leadership of the division of nursing provides the organizational direction necessary to effect change and promote extraordinary patient care.

Communication
o    Develop a strategy for communication and visibility that ensures ongoing engagement and influence
o    Maintain strong, credible relationships with medical staff 
o    Function as an integral member of the operations and leadership teams.

Professionalism
o    Establish standards for setting measurable, realistic outcome with timelines and accountabilities systemwide

Business Skills
o    Manage financial resources
o    Evaluate achievement of operational objectives and goals
o    Capitalize on opportunities for innovation in technology and process including digital and virtual healthcare and communication

Required Qualifications:
•    Minimum of ten years progressive healthcare leadership experience, including at least three years at the director or equivalent level with P&L responsibility, as well as leadership of clinical operations, application of quality improvement tools and methodology, project leadership required.
•    Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing or related field required.
•    Minimum of three years director level experience.
•    Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, including community partners and the broader oncology community required.
•    Ability to lead others through development and empowerment required.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and function independently required.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
•    Leadership skills which demonstrate the ability to understand, communicate, and support the strategic objectives of the organization required.
•    Possess a working knowledge of financial analysis, health care markets, and performance improvement required.

•    Demonstrated strength in leading individuals and teams in strategic thinking,
•    formulation of transformational initiatives and effective execution of initiatives required.
•    Execution of business or clinical strategic plans and goals required.
•    Independent problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and self- direction required.
•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal required.
•    Strong presentation and presentation formatting skills required.
•    Ability to motivate a diverse stakeholder group and teams with varying backgrounds and knowledge required.
•    Ability to work with senior executives, physicians and enterprise leadership both within and outside Nebraska Medicine required.
•    Ability to promote a principled and visionary collaborative approach to innovation and design required.
•    Ability to facilitate consensus in a matrix environment required.
•    Experience and expertise in process design and redesign required.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
•    Proficient in literature review required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master's degree in healthcare, business administration or other advanced graduate degree preferred.
•    Electronic health record experience st
