THE JOB:
TransPremier is looking for a detail-oriented and organized parts clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, and keeping records of all transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a parts department, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Answer inquiries regarding parts availability.
- Locate and pull requested parts from inventory using shop management system.
- Process orders for parts and materials in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments are complete and free of damage.
- Investigate and resolve complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, organization of the parts room.
- Keep abreast of new products and changes in product specifications.
- Responsible for inventories.
- Follow and ensure proper receiving procedures are followed.
- Update computerized inventory records to reflect current stock levels.
- Generate reports detailing inventory levels, trends, and shortages.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments of parts and materials.
- Stock shelves and racks with newly arrived parts and materials.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Travel to local vendors as needed.
- Work Opening and Closing shifts, as needed.
- Knowledge in warehouse and inventory.
- At least 1 year of previous related experience required.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Dependability and flexibility.
- Ability to work at a fast-paced.
- Ability to thrive in teamwork environments.
- Professional, courteous, and safety-driven work ethic.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Must have excellent attendance and work performance.
- Must be self-motivated with a high commitment to completing tasks promptly.
- Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly move/lift 45 lbs. and climb.
- Ability to work and maintain alert around dirt, dust, and noise associated with heavy equipment.
- May require sitting, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to handle tools and parts.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based at our Orlando, FL location.
