As a Samsung Account Manager for a leading carrier in the US, you will be the primary point of contact for all matters specific to your designated channels within the carrier account. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong, long-lasting relationship with Verizon Market leadership, understanding their business needs, and ensuring that Samsung delivers tailored solutions that drive mutual growth and success.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quarterly sales, and key performance indicators as defined by Samsung leadership.
  • Develop and Implement key sales initiatives with-in the 6 Verizon Markets: Sales Programs & Incentives, Events & Sponsorships, Training & Enablement / Samsung Certifications and Grass Roots Marketing Campaigns & Programs
  • Manage all local market budgeting: allocate funds by program & market, track internal processing and system inputs according to policy and align funding & SLT approvals to programs.
  • Relationship Management: Develop positive working relationships with the supporting Samsung functional teams; Retail, Marketing, Finance.
  • Oversees and collaborate with Sales, Product Planning, SCM, and Marketing teams on the account team strategies and initiatives.
  • Partner with Verizon’s 6 Market sales leadership teams: lead weekly engagement calls with market sales leaders, engage & enable seller hip-share and brand awareness, lead weekly engagement calls with local marketing teams, execute and drive programs that improve sell out of Samsung mobile products and meet MP objectives.
  • Program Reporting & Analysis: Utilize current analytics tools to inform all critical decisions, measure ROI, and provide reporting to key leaders in the organization, review program results and performance with greater account team & partners, provide data driven insights to program efficacy and ROI.
  • Business Development: develop and execute “Menu of Services” for market level ideation & implementation, connect Partner priorities to executable programs that will drive both parties forward, develop ways to optimize & strengthen program results with NBDB (never been done before) strategies & Trials/Pilots, infuse R2B Strategies into COR Local programs & opportunities.
  • Develop incentives, promotions, and training programs to increase sellout to meet account goals and KPIs.
  • Lead GTM strategies to effectively launch new products by working cross-functionally with marketing, SCM, and product teams.
  • Develop new business with carrier and identify areas of improvement to meet sales goals.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Support all additional requests from executive management in a timely fashion, as needed, to support Strategic Accounts objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, and 10+ years of Sales Strategy, Operations, and Management with direct Customer Management experience.
  • If BS degree, 8+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at the executive and all levels within customers' organizations and within the SEA organization.
  • Deep understanding of the consumer journey within the carrier.
  • The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, VPs, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations.
  • The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple business development programs and simultaneous performance objectives.
