If this is you, then Cognosante has a unique opportunity to help kick-start the next chapter in your professional life through our Military SkillBridge Internship Program, which is an initiative designed to link our nation’s warfighters to the best employment opportunities available as soon as possible in their transition process. The successful candidate will participate in a practical, structured, systematic program of on-the-job training AND related instruction to develop existing military technical experience. Internship will be 12 weeks long and can only commence within the 180 day window before leaving active-duty service.

Job Description

The Project Coordinator SkillBridge Intern will support Project Management Leads in all aspects of project and program management. The candidate will be delegated responsibilities in the areas of task coordination, scheduling, and providing project coordination in support of the mission of the PMO. The candidate must be an effective communicator and collaborator, and a mature and empathetic leader.   

  

To be successful as a Project Coordinator, you need to have the ability to develop and foster productive relationships with project managers, leadership, and shared services teams while balancing a broad set of responsibilities. This role requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to find creative ways of solving problems while working with a variety of stakeholders with different styles and operating constraints.   

  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support in all phases of project management  

  • Draft, review, and edit project management documentation and artifacts  

  • Work closely with the team and internal stakeholders on scheduling and facilitating meetings, preparing agendas, and capturing meeting minutes Communicate projects activities to the Project Managers, verbally and in writing  

  • Assist the Project Manager with internal project audits (in-depth and check-up)  

  • Utilize Planner to track tasks (action items)    

  • Monitor and manage team mailbox and calendar   

  • Assist with preparing internal Executive Program Reviews, and other meetings as needed  

  • Work alongside Project and Program Managers to compile quantitative and qualitative data, and report out to leadership  

  

Required Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience  

  • U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves) 

  • Must be able to complete a minimum of 8 weeks and up to a maximum of 6 months SkillBridge internship 

  • Capable of working closely with the Project Managers and internal stakeholders to understand challenges and work toward resolution  

  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook  

  • Prior experience in scheduling and facilitating meetings  

  • Good written and oral communication skills  

  • Good presentation skills  

  • Must be able to work in a deadline-driven environment  

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with SharePoint  

  • Familiarity working with technical documents
