A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Most of our production plants run 24/7, and our equipment is quite unique and not easily replaced. So, as an Industrial Maintenance Manager, your role in keeping our manufacturing equipment operational is critical to our success. You and your team evaluate and correct all mechanical and building problems that arise. Proactively, you maintain effective preventative and corrective maintenance procedures. Under your excellent leadership, the maintenance crew is inspired to keep everything clean and in good working order. Your style of management fosters teamwork, respect, accountability, and trust. You control all scheduling for your team. Safety is always your first priority! In fact, you are responsible for training new personnel on company and OSHA safety standards. You enjoy leading the amazing maintenance team that keeps our plant production optimal!


Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance staff, and any corrective or preventative maintenance procedures within the plant.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and corrects all mechanical and/or building problems that may arise in the plant.
  • Profiles direction and leadership for the maintenance crew and controls scheduling beginning to end.
  • Implements and evaluates preventative maintenance program.
  • Responsible for training and retraining personnel on Company safety procedures and safe operating standards of all equipment in accordance with company safety rules and in accordance with OSHA.
  • Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and hands on training to maintenance personnel.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of equipment, buildings, grounds and safety inspections.
  • Responsible for inventory management of all plant equipment and parts.
  • Responsible for implementing and embracing the 5S - Six Sigma process.
  • Operates all equipment in accordance with company safety rules and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 years of experience with inventory management.
  • 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
  • 2 years of experience in a management position supervising hourly employees
  • Must be able to work weekends. On call all shifts.

Good math skills, prior rendering experience, management experience in the agricultural industry, and experience with maintenance
