The Raytheon team is looking for a Software Product Owner (PO) within the X-Band Radar (XBR) Agile Release Train (ART). As a member of this team, you will be supporting software development, test and Formal Qualification Test (FQT) in Woburn MA at the Missile Defense Center (MDC). In addition to implementing Agile practices and principles, you will be managing the technical scope for the team.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the execution of a subset of the Radar software engineering scope for the XBR Program, including definition, coordination and execution of the technical tasks for their team. Specific responsibilities include:
Break down complex software capabilities and features into manageable pieces that can be achieved in a sprint and Program Increment (PI).
Decompose software-related scope for work in Ada and C++ for radar algorithms, ensure the team has clear, achievable stories and clear completion criteria.
Work closely with stakeholders, including external customers, system engineering teams, program leadership to refine the product backlog and ensure team priorities are aligned with program execution and build releases.
Mentor and guide team on best practices for software development in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
Participate in Design Reviews as a stakeholder for Software Engineering.
Provide technical direction and guidance for GUI development and automation within Qt.
Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system requirement modifications to the existing Radar system baseline.
Work towards inline FQT selloff of discrete capabilities while under development.
Guide Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) with Raytheon and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) stakeholders and other organizations.
Ability to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) on development capabilities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Proficient in programming concepts using C, C++, Java or Ada, with a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end paradigms for GUI development.
Strong skills using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance.
Experience developing with Scrum methodology.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g. JIRA)
Strong communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience leading a technical effort, and execution of technical, cost, and schedule performance.
Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practice, and FQT experience.
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems.
Experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
