About the role:
Boston Scientific is recruiting for a communications manager to join our Global Corporate Communications team to develop integrated communications and processes that drive the business forward — inspiring and engaging our diverse, global supply chain organization of 24,000 employees and our external stakeholders.

This individual will partner closely with Global Corporate Communications colleagues as well as Global Supply Chain leaders to create content that connects the Global Supply Chain team and gives voice to our company mission, values and people.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serve as consultant and thought partner to supply chain leadership team on messaging and communication strategies to engage internal stakeholders, including a diverse, global workforce across key global supply chain locations.
• Keep a pulse on business objectives and employee engagement in collaboration with key functional and global supply chain site leaders, enabling new and effective methods for developing compelling and interactive internal communications that will reach all levels of the function
• Evaluate and implement a variety of approaches for cascading and localizing key global messages across the global supply chain locations.   
• Advise on and create written communications, polished presentations, videos and succinct talking points for internal audiences, as well as external-facing thought leadership opportunities, including content for the Boston Scientific website and social media platforms.
• Lead global communications strategy and execution for large initiatives and network-wide recognition programs. 
• Provide project management and organizational support including cross-functional coordination and vendor management to ensure deliverables are high quality, on time and within budget.
• Learn, listen, understand and implement the voice of global supply chain leadership and the Boston Scientific brand voice to maintain authenticity and style across all communications.
• Support the creation of new communications strategies to connect colleagues, who do not have easy access to email, to Global Supply Chain and Boston Scientific. 
• Coordinate and manage the cross-functional review and approval of content.

 

What we’re looking for:  

• Healthcare communications experience is preferred.
• Strategic with “sleeves rolled up” attitude and ability to balance the big picture with attention to detail on all communications. 
• Solutions-oriented professional with a creative flare and willingness to propose new ideas and approaches.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.
• Understanding of how to communicate differing “calls to action” amongst varying audiences with distinct viewpoints.
• Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time-management skills. 
• Bright “quick thinker” and self-starter. 
• Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise; ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
