We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.This is a role for someone who thrives on variety and making an impact. You’ll work alongside the Director of Communications and Marketing to deliver the College’s marketing strategy – planning and running campaigns across all media, keeping a close eye on results, and fine-tuning as needed to hit targets. You’ll also support the delivery of our internal communications strategy, ensuring that messaging lands just right.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:1. Design and implement B2B and B2C multi-channel marketing plans to deliver the College marketing strategy, managing the tracking and measurement of marketing campaigns against clear metrics as agreed with the Director of Communications and Marketing, gathering and presenting information regarding recruitment levels and the effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns and working with key internal stakeholders to implement campaign activity.
2. Manage supplier contracts and relationships related to web development, SEO, PPC, advertising spend and more. This will include placing orders and reconciling statements/invoices for payment.
3. Undertake market research, analysis of data and interrogation of the effectiveness of previous campaigns to plan and manage the College’s advertising campaigns, both on and off-line. Work with key academic staff to support the College’s recruitment, admissions and outreach work.
4. Develop online strategies as part of the broader College marketing plan, managing the College website to ensure that it is accurate, effective and accessible.
5. Manage the use of social networks to promote the College’s activities and attract potential applicants, and investigate new digital platforms to support and enhance the College’s marketing strategy.
6. Ensure that all publications, promotional copy and marketing materials are accurate, persuasive and comply with the College’s house style and brand. This will involve taking a lead in writing persuasive marketing copy, co-ordinating recruitment information for inclusion in publications, contributing to the production of press releases for publication through internal and external media channels and sourcing interesting stories for publication to generate applications.
7. Support the development of internal communications across the college, undertaking specific project work as required.
8. Manage all designated staff, taking responsibility for allocation of duties, performance, discipline, absence management, appraisal, time keeping, approval of annual leave etc., and the cost-effective use of overtime, allocation of additional contact hours and time off in lieu for staff, ensuing full compliance with relevant college policies and procedures at all times. This will include participating in recruitment and selection of staff as required
All staff are required to:
- Complete mandatory annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with the number of hours set for their Department.
- Travel between sites as and when required in accordance with their job role.
- Undertake occasional evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service.
- Comply with and understand all aspects of legislation and College policies and processes relating to safeguarding, including promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
- Comply with, understand and promote statutory and college best practice in Health & Safety at a level relevant to the role and responsibilities held by the post holder.
