This is a highly impactful role that ensures we can deliver against our leadership development priorities and that our leadership talent can continue to thrive in their careers with Marriott. This role manages development and delivery of leadership programs, collaborates with global teams, shapes leadership culture, and delivers impactful learning experiences. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Leadership Development, this role requires expertise in leadership development, project management, facilitation, learning technologies, and scalable solutions that align with organizational goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• Undergraduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior/Development, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Adult Education, or similar.
• 7+ years of experience in design, development and delivery of leadership development, learning & development, or strategic HR partner or talent management roles.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, leadership development best practices, and learning evaluation strategies.
• Prior experience partnering in the development and implementation of multi-year plans.
• Proven experience in program and project management for muti-year plans, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proven ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences, including senior leaders.
• Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies (e.g., LMS, LXP, LRS) and emerging tools.
Preferred
• Graduate degree, MS/MBA (or equivalent) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior/Development, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Adult Education, or similar.
Some travel will be required.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Leadership Framework: Support to pull through the leadership framework with a particular focus on framework components relevant to career and leadership development. This includes thought leadership, programming and management of the core leadership and accelerator programs, overseeing key events and programs at the intersection of innovation and leadership and revitalizing existing program architecture. For areas not yet solved for or needing evolution, define strategies, project plans and create business cases for investment in leadership development solutions.
• Portfolio Management + Program Design: In partnership with other teams within the Talent Development COE (design/development, learning tech, etc.) and continent learning teams and HR Partners, co-design, develop, implement, and continuously improve career and leadership development solutions. Identify appropriate utilization of and manage relationships with external partners in delivery of strategic, innovative, and practical leadership development interventions that address the diversity of priorities of enterprise leadership. Assess current programs and support to determine external partners and the level of impact of each and which programs need evolution and/or retirement. This also means having a proactive approach to development and evolution of leadership development roadmap and plans to ensure we continually prioritize the most critical needs.
• Project Management: On a day-to-day basis, this role serves as a key point of contact for some leadership development programs, with both responsibility and accountability for managing the end-to-end processes in support of deploying leadership development solutions. This includes project scoping and partnering with supporting teams and vendors for the design, development, deployment and facilitation, measurement, and sustainment of solutions. Through project management, this role will infuse innovation and creativity into the solutions being crafted, and ensure the best possible solutions are brought to life.
