Job Overview Summary
The Sr Director, Total Rewards is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive total rewards strategy that supports the organization’s business objectives, attracts and retains top talent, and enhances employee engagement. This role oversees the design and administration of compensation, benefits, and recognition programs globally, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and alignment with company culture and values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Leadership
- Develop and lead the company’s total rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market competitiveness.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the HR leadership team on all total rewards-related matters.
- Lead and mentor a team of compensation and benefits professionals.
Compensation Management
- Design and oversee global compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity plans.
- Conduct regular market benchmarking and compensation analyses to ensure competitive positioning.
- Partner with business leaders and HR leadership to address compensation challenges and provide tailored solutions.
Benefits and Wellness Programs
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure programs are cost-effective, compliant with regulations, and meet employee needs across all regions.
- Identify and implement innovative benefit offerings to enhance the employee experience.
Rewards and Recognition
- Develop and manage global recognition programs to foster a culture of appreciation and engagement.
- Design programs that align with company values and drive performance.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to optimize services and cost-efficiency.
Data and Analytics
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor the effectiveness of total rewards programs and inform decision0making.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on compensation and benefits trends.
Location
This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with executive compensation and equity programs.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Certification in compensation or benefits (e.g., CCP, CBP, or CEBS).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Change management and adaptability.
