JOB SUMMARY:
TAPD Special Missions Intern will learn through analysis of Special Missions activities how to assist and administer customer account(s) in support of special mission aircraft including documentation and disposition of any applicable orders, warranties, programs, and contracts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with a cross-functional team to manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely support and resolution of customer issues.
- Provide support to Special Missions Program in facilitating customer inquiries as it pertains to spare parts orders and programs information for special missions requirements and aircraft types.
- Support communications with Textron Aviation Parts Department in matters that implicate customer’s account status, invoicing, or outstanding payments.
- Assist in fact-finding, coordination, and submission of special adjustment requests.
- Learn how to organize customer data and prepare special reports required by management concerning warranty, sales, and claims.
- Assist with order entry and the collection, storage, availability and reporting of claim and sales data.
- Special assignments and additional duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in:
- Aircraft Management
- Business Management
- Other related fields
EXPERIENCE:
- Must be able to work in a customer-oriented environment with professional demeanor and minimal supervision
- Organized and action oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objectives
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
