Senior Logistics Consultant, Global Warehouse

If so, we invite you to join our team as Senior Logistics Consultant, Global Warehouse at our headquarters in Randers.

 

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Danish Crown’s warehousing operations across ambient, dry, chilled, and frozen storage environments. Our purpose is to deliver operational excellence, drive digitalization, automation, and sustainability. Further to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure warehousing operations are resilient, scalable, and aligned with business and customer needs.

You will be part of the Global Logistics department, collaborating with a team of 40 experienced professionals while engaging with additional international logistics colleagues. We are a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

This position offers a broad and varied scope, allowing you to work at both a tactical and operational level. You will be responsible for analyzing, advising, and implementing process’ across Business Units and departments, ensuring that Danish Crown will reach the strategic goals and must win battles. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the day-to-day work and to create synergies to streamline processes, identifying risks, and driving efficiency in our way of working.

 

Beyond logistics, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders in operations and supply chain. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on continuously improvement, impact transformation and proactively benchmark our efforts, to keep logistics operations competitive. Additionally, you will contribute to cross-functional projects, collaborating with teams across different departments and regions to ensure a streamlined way to work and value creation.

Your external focus will be to intensify working with the logistics suppliers. Hence, to develop the cooperation, to follow up on performance and be responsible for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, warehouse cost per unit, space utilization, energy efficiency, and health & safety metrics. Deliver against service level agreements (SLAs) with internal teams and customers.
• Identify and implement cost-to-serve improvements while balancing cost, service, and sustainability. Further, to manage warehouse-related risks (e.g., capacity constraints, equipment failure, labor shortages) and develop robust contingency plans.
• Through 3PL support energy efficiency, reduction in waste, and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies (e.g., LED lighting, solar power, ammonia refrigeration in cold storage). To partner with suppliers and internal teams to meet corporate ESG targets for warehouse operations.
• Understand and drive through 3PL deployment of warehouse management systems (WMS), real-time inventory tracking, and automation (e.g., AS/RS, AMRs, pick-to-light systems).

• One of your focal points will be, to assess the performance, progress and goals with clients and stakeholders, in the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s).

Who are we looking for?

You hold a relevant educational background - such as a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent. Further, you have a few years of documented experience working with Lean and digital supply chain systems.

 

You approach tasks in a structured and analytical manner, with attention to detail and business acumen. You have a filled tool box and the experience to engage in delivering high-quality work and be proactive in engaging with stakeholders across the organization.

 

Expect approximately 10 - 30 travel days per year.
 

Additional Qualifications:

• 5+ years expertise in warehouse operations across ambient, dry, chilled and frozen environments including cost, service, quality and sustainability drivers
• Knowledge of WMS, automation and design principles
