Medical Census and Eligibility Verification Specialist

Behavioral Health Solutions is a team of mental health treatment professionals that specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Outpatient Telehealth. As we expand as a leading provider, we are seeking skilled professionals of the highest caliber of integrity.

The Medical Census and Eligibility Verification Specialist will identify and determine the eligibility of new patients referred for treatment with BHS. This is an administrative role based in-office at our Denver, CO location.

Duties Include:

• Access various skilled nursing facility Medical Records Databases to determine psychiatric and therapy patient counts
• Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system
• Verify insurance eligibility for services provided and document complete information into our system
• Performing prior authorizations as required by payor source, including procurement of needed documentation by collaborating with physician offices and insurance companies
• Contacting all insurance carriers per patient, to insure proper coordination and reimbursement of benefits
• Work closely with the billing team on denials due to eligibility reasons.
• Other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor
  

Job Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday), In-Office

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare/medical settings
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Experience with billing preferred
• Highly organized and attention to detail
• Experience with eligibility verification (Medicaid/Medicare and other insurance portals)
• Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
• Proficient in MS-Excel
• Ability to work independently

Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
