MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Description

At California Sinus Centers we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of routine and advanced nasal

and sinus issues. We are seeking a motivated, certified full time Medical Assistant for Monday through

Friday 8- 5 pm for our Walnut Creek and satellite locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with other office staff to cover both front and back office responsibilities
• Assist providers in preparing for office visits in all locations 
• Capture all pertinent information needed for providers to make a diagnosis 
• Assist providers during office visits/in-office procedures 
• Scribe visit notes
• Respond to Epic encounter messages. Act as a liaison between patients and our practice
• Greet all patients, callers, and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude
• Answer phones and triage calls as needed 
• Prep, clean, and stock exam rooms 
• Pre-load patient charts 
• Inventory management of exam room supplies in all locations 
• Print daily provider schedules 
• Room patients 
• Take vitals including height and weight for every patient/every encounter
• Take a detailed medical history for every patient 
• Reconcile medications for every patient
• Ensure PCP and referring provider is entered for every patient
• Capture and enter health maintenance data for every patient 
• Assist providers during office visits and in-office procedures 
• Act as scribe to providers 
• Provide patient education as needed
• Other essential duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used medical terminologies and procedures for ENT’s,

• Excellent typing skills (50+ wpm),

Strongly preferred qualifications:

• Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)
• Scribing experience
• 1+ years experience as a medical assistant in an outpatient medical clinic

Compensation will be based on experience 

Pay Scale/Ranges:$21.00 - $26.00 *

*Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The pay scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
