Security Guard

Posting Location: Barstow

Schedule: Part-time, 2 or more days per week.  Morning and swing ONLY. Weekends and holidays are required.  Merit based opportunities for hours and shift preference. 

Terms: 90-day probationary period, then at-will.  

Pay Range: $17.50-18.50 USD per hour, DOE. Merit-based opportunities for both pay and promotion.

Must Have

• Active Guard Card (California).
• Driver’s License. Clean driving record. Some driving may be required.
• Minimum of 1-year professional security experience (not events).
• Complete, up-to-date resume.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable personal transportation and a working cell phone.
• Ability to adapt, learn, and improve through coaching, training, and feedback on a daily basis.
• Professional appearance, communication skills, and demeanor.
• Some positions may require completion of a background check and drug screeing prior to employment.
• Physically able to walk, stand, and drive for extended periods of time
• Ability to embrace and extol the culture, values, policies, and protocols established by Signal of High Desert leadership and that of Signal Security

Position Summary:

A Signal Dedicated Guard will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

Responsibilities:

• Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company’s values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.
• Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.
