The AIM (Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement) team – a part of GCS Marketing– is the analytical engine that enables Global Commercial business portfolio of American Express. Accelerating growth momentum, increasing profitability, and powering up our value proposition are key objectives for this organization. It is the analytical engine that powers profitable business growth through consultative and innovative solutions across. The team enables GCS Marketing business by providing actionable insights to drive business strategy and growth. 

The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing next gen decision science solutions for expense management through best-in-class algorithms and deep business understanding. The role will be responsible for optimizing the way we target our existing customers by defining eligibility &  propensity segmentation for EM & ongoing enhancements enhancing commercial data attributes, build best-in-class decision science solutions for effective targeting of Expense Management acquisitions. 

How will you make an impact in this role?

The roles and responsibilities of the position would include but not be limited to:

  • Developing and enhancing statistical models and segmentations by utilizing the best-in-class ML modeling techniques
  • Developing the modeling solutions following the principles of model governance and controls established by the second and third line
  • Work closely with business partners for requirement gathering and delivering solutions
  • Research, develop, and present ideas and solutions to the multiple stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Economics) or business field with 3+ years of work experience in similar decision science and/or analytics role with financial or related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to apply cutting edge statistical techniques to solve business problems
  • Ability to understand data, synthesize into real-world meaning, break down business problems, and conduct brainstorming
  • Good working knowledge of data mining techniques and open source machine learning algorithms
  • Strong programming skills in PySpark/Python/SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Economics) or business field with 3+ years of work experience in similar decision science and/or analytics role with financial or related industry

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
