I&C Construction Manager

LotusWorks is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Construction Manager to lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of complex control and automation systems at a cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing site in Goodnight, TX. This role is responsible for managing construction execution, contractor oversight, and quality/safety performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of I&C project scope from design through commissioning.
• Serve as primary point of contact for I&C systems with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Drive schedule adherence, resource allocation, and project execution strategy.
• Review and approve I&C design packages, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Ensure control system design meets project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams for seamless system integration.
• Source, qualify, and manage I&C equipment suppliers, vendors, and integrators.
• Oversee procurement, delivery, and installation of control panels, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance, adherence to drawings, and safety standards on site.
• Plan and manage loop checks, point-to-point testing, and functional testing.
• Oversee commissioning of PLC/DCS systems, BMS/EPMS integration, and SCADA controls.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, NEC, NFPA, and local regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation including calibration records, redlines, and as-builts.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Track progress, budget, and KPIs; prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead coordination meetings to resolve design and installation issues.

Skills Required

• 5+ years experience managing I&C scopes on large industrial or semiconductor projects.
• Strong knowledge of I&C systems, control philosophies, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and review complex documentation (P&IDs, loop diagrams).
• Solid understanding of control system commissioning processes, testing protocols, and QA/QC practices.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards: IEC, ISA, NEC, NFPA, OSHA.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder communication, and vendor management skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple subcontractors and tight deadlines.
• OSHA 10 certification required.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Trade Certification or Degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, or Construction Management preferred.
• Additional certifications in automation, project management, or controls engineering a plus.
• Proof of education and certifications will be required where applicable.
