Job Description

Responsible for working closely with department leadership to schedule the following staff successfully and efficiently:

-Union employees including IBEW, NABET, DGA and SAG-AFTRA employees (Photographers, On-Air talent, Producers,

-Non-Union newsroom staff including content producers, producers and assignment editors. 

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling employees in the field (photojournalists and reporters), in-house talent, content producers, producers, Directors and Assignment Editors. 
• Work closely with leaders in Operations, Technology and News to effectively create, revise and efficiently schedule staff for work both in the field and in our locations. 
• Provide scheduling troubleshooting.
• Provide insights for future staffing and special event needs. 
• Update employee information in scheduling systems. 
• Distribute schedule reports. 
• Effectively work in STORM, Timekeeper and other payroll/scheduling systems.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of databases and systems. 
• Attend daily operations and routine planning meetings.
• Salary Range -- 85k-125k

Qualifications

• 5+ years Scheduling experience.
• Local media experience.
• Expert computer skills and proficiency in all systems including STORM, TK, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
• Very strong organizational skills are required. 
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively interpret labor contracts to track necessary hourly penalties.
• Must be an effective trouble shooter, communicator and problem solver.
• Must be meticulous and pay attention to detail.
• Some after-hours and weekend work are expected.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be willing to work at 30 Rock and/or Fort Lee, NJ. This is an in-person role.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
