Job Description
Responsible for working closely with department leadership to schedule the following staff successfully and efficiently:
-Union employees including IBEW, NABET, DGA and SAG-AFTRA employees (Photographers, On-Air talent, Producers,
-Non-Union newsroom staff including content producers, producers and assignment editors.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling employees in the field (photojournalists and reporters), in-house talent, content producers, producers, Directors and Assignment Editors.
- Work closely with leaders in Operations, Technology and News to effectively create, revise and efficiently schedule staff for work both in the field and in our locations.
- Provide scheduling troubleshooting.
- Provide insights for future staffing and special event needs.
- Update employee information in scheduling systems.
- Distribute schedule reports.
- Effectively work in STORM, Timekeeper and other payroll/scheduling systems.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of databases and systems.
- Attend daily operations and routine planning meetings.
- Salary Range -- 85k-125k
Qualifications
- 5+ years Scheduling experience.
- Local media experience.
- Expert computer skills and proficiency in all systems including STORM, TK, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Very strong organizational skills are required.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively interpret labor contracts to track necessary hourly penalties.
- Must be an effective trouble shooter, communicator and problem solver.
- Must be meticulous and pay attention to detail.
- Some after-hours and weekend work are expected.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work at 30 Rock and/or Fort Lee, NJ. This is an in-person role.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
