Job Title: Director of Agile Practices

Overview: 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Agile Practices who is dedicated to empowering teams to achieve their maximum potential while driving business transformation initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will coach and enable swift delivery of exceptional products, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your ability to mentor teams, engage senior leaders, and promote agility at the enterprise level will be crucial for success. We are looking for someone who deeply understands Agile values, practices, and principles and can inspire teams and leadership alike to embrace them, effectively addressing and removing impediments to facilitate transformation.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Agile strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Create and define agile training’s and best practices for enterprise adoption
  • Conducting training and coaching sessions for contiuous support to teams in adopting and maturing Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean.
  • Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment between the organization’s mission, vision, goals, and the portfolio of technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Agile practices support effective decision-making and value delivery.
  • Establish metrics, OKRs, and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Agile practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate communities of practice to cultivate lean and Agile thinking across the organization.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $185,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • CST (Certified Scrum Trainer) Certification
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile methodologies, including 5+ years in leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading Agile transformations.
  • Strong understanding and application of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) in corporate environments, along with expertise in software and quality engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and the ability to listen and communicate clearly.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Agile tools and applications, with familiarity in Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum at Scale, DaD).
  • A lifelong learner with curiosity about Agile practices, knowledgeable in systems thinking, design thinking, and organizational behavior.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to facilitate constructive debate and resolve conflicts.
  • Comfortable in ambiguous environments, capable of leading with minimal direction and setting strategic goals based on experience.
