Responsibilities
- Lead Apex’ Cloud Platform PM team and be accountable for the successful delivery of the programs, internal products and services in your portfolio that enable Apex to operate with higher performance, efficiency, transparency, and profitability.
- Partner closely with peers, leaders, and stakeholders to build and drive the strategic vision for your team and ensure services are ready to meet current and future business needs.
- Hire, coach, develop and guide Individual Contributor Product Managers. Help them establish data-driven charters, visions, and target states for their product areas. Deliver clarity through communicating product and program roadmaps and updates.
- Develop and sustain strong, collaborative working relationships with other departments across Apex to build trust and understanding. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and solution providers.
- Have a bias for action to tackle ambiguity and deliver clarity whether rolling up your sleeves on a project or resolving conflicts and driving an accountable culture with your team through ‘in the moment’ feedback.
- Support continuous learning within the team, giving product managers opportunities to grow their skills and meet their career aspirations.
- Champion an inclusive and diverse environment where people are excited to do their best work and their ideas are actively sought after. Model our values and leadership principles, coach others to give them the tools to grow, and demonstrate caring and empathy.
- Partner with Product Leadership other G/PMs to evolve Apex’s Product Management culture, processes and our products overall.
- Generate energy to motivate the team throughout the entire product cycle.
- Position requires 25%+ time for travel. (We’re a distributed company.)
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of product / program management experience or equivalent cloud product experience. Financial industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with business stakeholders, senior leaders, and clients within a large organization
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Demonstrated experience leading product / program management and execution for cross-functional teams
- Understanding of user experience, web development, API standards, and Agile practices, with a strong preference for best practices and incremental delivery.
- Demonstrated full-lifecycle ownership of product / program development.
- Understanding of Agile practices and strong preference for incremental delivery.
- Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Office Suite, Google Work, Slack, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS or engineering degree) or equivalent experience. Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
- Experience with financial industries and FinTech.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- 3+ years experience building cloud infrastructure solutions and/or distributed cloud technology.
