We’re looking for a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Manager to lead and optimize our import and export compliance programs across multiple regions — including Asia, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Based at our Bloomington, MN headquarters, this individual contributor role is key to reducing business risk and ensuring full regulatory compliance. As our in-house subject matter expert, you’ll develop and manage strategic trade policies and processes that align with U.S. and international trade laws, playing a vital role in our global operations.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and continuously improve microbiological methods, standards, and lab procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate testing of raw ingredients and finished products; interpret results and communicate critical findings.
  • Lead and train lab staff while ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, state, and company food safety regulations.
  • Develop sampling plans, conduct microbial studies, and maintain lab equipment and documentation.
  • Support sanitation validation efforts and partner with cross-functional teams on food safety risk assessments and CCP validation.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering on lethality validation for Ready-To-Eat (RTE) products.
  • Monitor sanitation and microbiological trends across production, driving continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a HACCP and Global Food Safety resource, supporting program development, training, and compliance initiatives.
  • Use data analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that improve food safety, quality, and consistency. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in a role involving developing and managing global trade and compliance programs within the CPG, ideally food industry.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a role involving developing and managing global trade and compliance programs in a corporate setting.
  • Secure and maintain Customs Brokerage License. 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

The base salary range for this position is $81,750 to $136,250 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree or equivelent experience preferred.

Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in global trade and related compliance , with a proven track record of managing global trade and compliance programs. Certifications: Must have a Customs Brokerage License.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Deep understanding of international trade laws and customs regulations.

Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
