Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an Aircraft Advanced Electrical Operator  to join our Manufacturing Department based in Mobile, AL

The Advanced Electrical Operator is responsible for the assembly of electrical systems and of the aircraft for the Final Assembly Line.

Your working environment:

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

  • Installation electrical assembly, integration and modification of electrical systems (harness routing, electrical connection, soldering, crimping... ).

  • Perform basic electrical tests (continuity, bonding, insulation, DC high voltage...)

  • Check system functions

  • Inputs: Raw materials, tools, standard parts and components, documentation (technical instruction, work order, test procedure, job card, etc).

  • Outputs: Assembly ready for integration or assembly integrated with associated production documentation in the product.

Your boarding pass:

  • 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent required 

  • High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of training/experience

  • PreferredCompleted vocational training (Mechanics/Systems) preferred

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in Aviation Production 

Physical Requirements:

 Lifting, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Squatting/Kneeling, Walking, Speaking, Hearing, Vision, Manual Dexterity, Travel. Include estimated time or percentage for each factor and maximum weight for lifting. 

Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. 

Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. 

Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at the fuselage
