Pratt & Whitney is looking for a dynamic Senior Project Engineer ready to tackle exciting challenges as part of our F119 Operation Military Engines (OME) Team within the innovative Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) department.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee a team of cross-functional disciplines and work together to provide deliverables and meet customer milestones.
- Ensure risk analysis and gap closure plans are in place to address module and part-level issues.
- Provide module-level and part-level Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) support.
- Work with the engineering team, other PW functions, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of hardware and task deliverables.
- Travel up to 10% (Domestic).
What You Will Learn:
- Experience the leading edge in aerospace, where you’ll be pushing the limits of what our materials and designs can accomplish.
- Gain experience with Mechanical Systems and Externals hardware, and working with other disciplines, system groups, and mod centers.
- Obtain skillsets required to lead a team of engineers, manage technical issues and hardware deliveries, prioritize tasks, and communicate to broader audiences.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering experience; or an Advanced Degree in Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Department/Segment Overview: Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles Engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging, and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

- On-site: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
