DOT is seeking a Public Hearing Coordinator to help grow and expand Dining Out NYC (DONYC). Under the direction of the Director of Public Engagement, this individual will be responsible for preparing and conducting DONYC public hearings and executing stakeholder outreach to support DONYC. The selected candidate will also be responsible for: increasing awareness of the programs benefits and understanding of the licensing process; prepare PowerPoint presentations; attend DONYC events and trade shows; gathering feedback from applicants and key stakeholders on the program to improve future operations; prepare reports as needed; address complaints received through ARTS, email, and 311; using outreach to support DOT staff around key events impacting the program, such as street redesigns, special events or changes to requirements; as needed, assist program staff in drafting revocable consents and their interactions with the general public, local politicians, city agencies, elected officials, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
