ROLE OVERVIEW
This role partners with leaders across our Mitchell & Ness organization to identify opportunities, design solutions, and drive meaningful impact across the employee experience. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will enhance people practices to grow next level player development and support Fanatics business operations. Business partnership reflects a way of working—anchored in influence, trust, data integrity, and risk awareness—rather than a job level alone. This role partners with leaders to drive workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, and organizational change in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures related to compensation, employment decisions, and employee development
- Ensure assigned locations remain compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies
- Partner with managers on performance management, compensation reviews, employee development, and workforce planning initiatives
- Collaborate with assigned client groups by understanding business objectives, risks, and priorities to support effective people strategies
- Apply in-depth knowledge of employment law to day-to-day coaching, counseling, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Proactively identify and address people-related challenges and opportunities that impact business execution
- Lead and support organizational and behavioral change initiatives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Develop high-quality solutions, action plans, and metrics aligned to business goals and talent needs
- Investigate complex employee relations matters and recommend effective, compliant resolutions aligned with company values
- Analyze organizational health using key people metrics (engagement, retention, performance trends) and provide data-driven recommendations
- Clarify decision-making rights and escalation paths for employee relations, policy application, and business-critical people decisions
- Lead leaders through change and ambiguity by using data to diagnose issues, evaluate options, and drive durable solutions
- Perform other projects and initiatives as assigned
Scope, Influence & Impact:
- Supports defined client groups and employee populations; scope varies by business need and complexity
- Owns ER strategy and execution for assigned groups; escalates sensitive/high-risk matters appropriately
- Influences leadership decisions through insights, risk assessment, and clear recommendations
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Knowledge of HR administration procedures
- Knowledge of EEO and related labor laws
- Knowledge of job analysis
- Knowledge of employment laws affecting the work place
- Proven ability to establish trust and build productive relationships at all levels of the organization; appropriate to our “One Fanatics” approach to people
- Recognized as a key resource for employees and managers who is approachable and effectively facilitates coaching conversations
- Excellent facilitation and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training to all levels in the organization.
- A role model of excellent people-practice, leadership, coaching and motivational skills with a willingness to be hands-on as required in supporting the drive of HR behaviors
- Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in effectively managing a range of tasks and priorities, simultaneously
