Classification Minimum RequirementsVeterinary Diagnostic Imaging Technician I:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Technician II:
Credentialed veterinary technician or credentialed in a diagnostic imaging field.
Are you a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) looking to apply your imaging skills in a unique and rewarding hospital environment? The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a motivated technician to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.
In this role, you will perform high quality imaging across multiple modalities, including radiography (digital, portable, and interventional), Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. You’ll support both small and large animal services in a fast paced teaching hospital and work closely with Radiologists, Residents, and other skilled technicians.

The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday 9:30am -6:00pm, but the schedule may change based on hospital and patient care needs. This individual is considered essential personnel which may include reporting to work during holidays and Main Campus closures.
Non-Credentialed: $18 - $25, Credentialed: $20 - $28, Salary based on credentials and experience
Preferred- Experience with radiographic imaging
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician OR Registered Radiological Technologist

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
