Job Description
Agilent is seeking an experienced Employee Communications Director to lead our global internal-communications strategy in a dynamic and evolving life-sciences, applied markets, and diagnostics company.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Communications, this leader will drive global internal-communications efforts that ensure consistent messaging across all internal platforms to inform, inspire, and motivate employees around the world — and that are consistent with Agilent’s goals and values.
The ideal candidate will have a Growth Mindset and drive broad, global internal-communications strategies through a complex enterprise-wide transformation.
As a member of the Enterprise Communications Leadership Team, the Employee Communications Director will be accountable for broad, global employee communications and work closely with the CHRO on projects and programs while leading a team.
This leader will play a critical role in ensuring Agilent is effectively telling its story internally.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal-communications strategy that aligns with the company’s mission, values, and growth goals.
- Develop and drive consistent employee messaging to inform, inspire, and motivate employees around the world.
- Collaboratively work with the Business and Organization Communications team to develop internal communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on communications projects and programs, including important business updates, quarterly results, as well as customer and employee stories.
- Develop targeted communication plans, ensuring clear, consistent messaging.
- Work cross-functionally with senior leaders to anticipate change impacts and tailor communications to meet the needs of internal audiences.
- Develop annual ESG communications, collaborating with relevant departments to accurately report on our sustainability, social responsibility, and governance initiatives to convey Agilent’s commitment to responsible and ethical practices.
- Develop crisis-communication strategy to ensure readiness for potential issues swiftly and effectively.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in internal communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within life sciences, applied markets, or diagnostics sectors.
- Proven experience in building and driving internal-communications programs — ideally within complex, highly matrixed organizations that are continuously changing.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and executing global internal-communications strategies that inform, inspire, and motivate diverse employee audiences.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into compelling messages for internal audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach and ability to influence across functions and levels.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
