Production Superintendent 2nd shift

Job Purpose

Job Duties and Responsibilities

We currently have an opening for a 2nd shift Production Superintendent at our facility in Henderson, Kentucky. The Production Superintendent plans, directs, and manages the production, shipping, and maintenance activities of the location.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
•    Provide strategic direction for related operations activities the facility has, oversees and assists in the development of planning 
•    Develop and execute strategies for increased customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost
•    Ensure that financial productivity and plant/product transition projects are successfully implemented
•    Drive culture change, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset throughout the operational team
•    Oversee and promote effective Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and practices, ensuring that high standards of site safety are established, met, and that production floor is maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards and fiscal considerations
•    Establish and implement standard manufacturing practices by implementing and executing the Dana Operating System, DOS. Develop and maintain an effective production leadership supervisor
•    Integrate key elements of DOS to improve cycle time
•    Improve and develop organizational capabilities through effective performance management and planning/utilization of human and capital resources. 
•    Manufacturing personnel development and succession
•    Meeting Production and shipping schedules

 

Qualifications & Skills: 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline preferred 
•    Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in automotive tier one assembly line preferred
•    Extensive experience of knowledge of the Dana Operating System, similar operating system, or lean manufacturing excellence
•    3-5 years of managerial experience
•    Strong background in operations and quality
•    Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impact business plans, operating profits, practices, policies and procedures
•    Ability to effectively select, develop, coach, empower and motivate others
