Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Instruction, Division C, and general guidance from the Wildland Fire Faculty, the Coordinator will perform the following:

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Instruction, Division C, and general guidance from the Wildland Fire Faculty, the Coordinator will perform the following:
- Maintain the integrity of National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) coursework and standards as approved by local accreditation units;
- Teaching courses in Wildland Fire and Forestry, as assigned;
- Assist with general supervision and coordination of fire technology programs;
- Assist in the development of instructional schedule, student recruitment and outreach;
- Initiate and reconcile the purchase of supplies and equipment;
- Manage maintenance schedule of apparatus and equipment;
- Assist in development of the annual budget;
- Assist with the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and evaluating of faculty applicants;
- Conduct oversight of administrative requirements of adjunct faculty and trainers;
- Provide input to ensure an excellent on-going level of performance as well as rigorous evaluation and consistent quality of training and standards;
- Assist in the advising and registration of students;
- Assist in the development and improvement of curriculum and courses;
- Create, provide, and support innovative programs, grants and initiatives, while also maintaining regulatory compliance;
- Serve on and attend department, college, and district committees as needed;
- Participate in program review, including student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Teach assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed;
- Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of faculty as required by Administrative Regulation 7122;
- Other duties as assigned.
