About the role

ICF Aviation, Travel and Tourism (ATT) seeks an (Early Career) Analyst – Aviation Consulting to join us immediately!  This position is Remote, full-time in the U.S., with preference given to the Reston, Virginia area for those able to partially commute.  Some work-related travel is expected.  This is an early-career position.

As an Aviation Consulting Analyst, you will play a key role supporting established service lines across ICF's Aviation practice, such as Airport Commercial Planning and Aircraft Finance, as well as helping grow new service lines related to Digital Modernization & Sustainability.

Compensation: While the range below is broader, this position will offer a salary range in the 65K-75K range, based upon % match to job description, location, etc., as determined by the hiring team.  Higher education and experience will not change this salary range.

We are addressing some of the most important issues facing the aviation industry and society. In the past year, we have advised on:
•    Strategies for airlines to meet ambitious sustainability goals, including negotiating multi-year agreements to purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Members of the ICF team were on Virgin Atlantic’s first all-SAF transatlantic flight!
•    Market analysis and demand forecast to support the continued development and improvement of critical air transport infrastructure.
•    Digitally enabled programs to optimize aircraft maintenance, saving millions of dollars at the time of aircraft lease return.
•    New uses of AI to manage providers of ground support and maintenance at one of the world’s largest airlines.
•    Digital modernization strategy for one of the largest US airports, enabling new digital twins technology to support integrated management.
•    Recommendations to mitigate the long-term financial impact of airline labor deals that were signed during COVID at a major European airline.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Participate as a member of a consulting team on client-based projects
•    Gather, analyze, and interpret data in support of project analysis
•    Interface with clients to gather data and present results of studies and analyses
•    Write reports and presentations to synthesize and explain analyses
•    Be familiar with industry data sources and issues
•    Support corporate growth and business development initiatives, such as the development of proposal responses, intellectual capital, white papers, and marketing materials

MUST HAVE Minimum Qualifications:  
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, or other related fields.
•    1+ years of experience in applied analytics or quantitative methods, such as data analytics, modeling, project analysis (can be inclusive of demonstrated university degree projects).  Examples of work may be requested.
•    Ability and willingness to travel (flight/vehicle) for work as necessary. 

Preferred Qualifications: (These may set candidates apart on a resume) 
•    1+ years' experience performing data analysis with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Python or similar business analytics tool.  
•    Prior work experience or demonstrated interest in relevant fields such as aviation, finance, operations or strategy consulting.
•    Additional languages, particularly Spanish.

Professional Qualifications: (You will bring these with you)
•    Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, agile environment within a flat organizational structure across multiple countries.
•    High proficiency in MS Excel and the use of Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.).
•    Excellent critical thinking skills to help resolve project constraints and make decisions, paired with a desire to take initiative.
•    Excellent listening, verbal, interpersonal and written English communication skills.
