Description of Work
The Community Employment Program Technician (CEPT) serves as a lead trainer for vocational instruction carried out in various settings on-campus and community/public settings. In addition, the CEPT works with special training projects to provide more intensive training programs for the residents on specifically designed trades that will support competitive employment opportunities. In this capacity, they require a more sophisticated skill set that includes experience with specific job trades that will be used to train residents’ techniques and skills needed for successful employment. The CEPT position serves as a job coach for residents in on and off campus job sites to support competitive employment opportunities. Some of the areas that the CEPT focuses on include skill development including intensive training in vocational skills, money management, behavior control (programs to modify maladaptive behaviors), and communication skills (social interactions, generalization.) The CEPT implements vocational interventions to address resident goals, collects and interprets data, assists with assessment of skills, documents progress, makes recommendations for revisions, documents resident time records, and ensures appropriate payment meets wage and hour and agency/departmental guidelines.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $32,287.00 - $56,502.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and have experience as a job coach.
Experience implementing objective training, data collection, behavior programs.
Strong computer skills and experience with graphic design.
Ability to edit photos and videos for electronic and hard copy Newsletter production using an iPod, desktop computer, CANVA, and other editing tools.
Flexibility to be cross-trained and provide coverage in varies vocational work areas and settings.
Physical Requirements (ADA): Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Other: Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions, Visual Acuity, Inside and Outside Activities.

Hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, M - F
