The Treasury team at Gemini connects product strategy with financial execution. We build the funding infrastructure and liquidity solutions that enable our crypto and traditional finance products, ensuring clients get reliable service whether they're trading Bitcoin or managing cash.

The Role: Senior Associate, Liquidity and Funding

Gemini is looking for a Liquidity & Funding Senior Associate to join our Treasury team to play a critical role in structuring and executing funding facilities from concept to close as well as optimizing liquidity across investments, cryptocurrencies and fiat. This role will work closely with Accounting, Funding Operations, Cash Management, Legal and FP&A to transform strategic vision into executable reality. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by open-ended problem solving. 

This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

• Liquidity planning:
  • Develop and maintain a daily cash flow model
  • Build and maintain a monthly cash flow model to manage the liquidity runway
  • Propose and rebalance liquidity positions across investments, multiple cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies to generate yield enhancement 
  • Design and execute liquidity stress testing
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity reports for senior management
  • Work closely with cash management team to ensure appropriate cash positioning across geographies and legal entities
• Funding: 
  • Assist in developing funding strategies to support business growth and operational requirements
  • Support the structuring and execution of funding facilities  
  • Analyze funding costs across different sources 
  • Manage intercompany funding facilities, coordinate capital infusions, and propose dividend distributions 
  • Oversee capital planning process 
  • Monitor and report on funding utilization and efficiency metrics
  • Evaluate new funding opportunities and partnerships
  • Monitor concentration risks across counterparties, assets, and funding sources
  • Maintain and enhance contingency funding planning

Qualifications:

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or related field
• 4+ years of experience in finance, ideally at a global bank, exchange, hedge fund, financial institution, or crypto trading platform
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL for data analysis and financial modeling for both crypto and consumer credit analysis
• Understanding of cryptocurrency markets, DeFi protocols, blockchain technology, and consumer credit markets
• Knowledge of asset-backed securities, warehouse facilities, and receivables financing structures
• Strong communication skills and ability to distill complex topics

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $92,400 - $132,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

In the United States, employees within the New York, Seattle, and Miami metropolitan areas are expected to work from the designated office twice a week, unless there is a job-specific requirement to be in the office every work day.
